    We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Head of Service Delivery to provide leadership to the Service Delivery team within our growing Technology, Digital and Data (TDD) service.

    In this pivotal role, you will have the significant responsibility of translating the Council’s priorities into actionable strategies, plans, and programmes to ensure the provision of a robust, future-proofed service capable of supporting the organisation’s business objectives.

    Your contributions will have direct impact upon all staff and Council services, as well as the residents of North Northamptonshire.

    What will you be doing?

    As part of the TDD senior management team, you will collaborate with the Chief Information Officer and other leaders to review and enhance current strategies that support business objectives across the wider technology and digital service. You will also lead on the creation of new strategies and oversee feasibility studies for alternative approaches, ensuring that the service meets established business goals, performance targets, and agreed service levels.

    You will manage the Service Delivery resources and assets, ensuring compliance with all governance, legal, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will oversee the financial management and control of the Service Delivery budget.

    You will provide leadership and oversight to ensure stakeholder confidence in the quality and availability of the service and support for all Council teams.

    It will be your role to ensure that both yourself and your team stay up to date with the latest technology trends and practice continuous development to identify and leverage emerging opportunities to enhance service delivery.

    About you

    You will be an experienced leader in service delivery with a proven track record of managing operational IT services at a senior level. Your ability to make evidence-based decisions and take ownership of ongoing and emergent technology challenges will be crucial.

    You must have clear evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and senior managers, ensuring beneficial outcomes for the Council. And you should have excellent knowledge and experience of contract management and negotiation, and performance management of third parties.
