About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Crawley Borough Council’s Corporate Management Team and to make a real difference to the town, its people and our local businesses. The role will include reshaping our governance structures, ensuring legal and constitutional compliance, and maintaining democratic accountability. This is also a rare opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of corporate services.
We are looking for a forward-thinking legal and governance professional who is a qualified solicitor, barrister, or chartered legal executive with significant post-qualification experience. We need a leader who can balance legal rigour with strategic leadership – someone who can help us manage change while keeping our communities at the heart of everything we do. You should be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and political acumen, and operate confidently at a senior level, influencing across the organisation.
