Pensby High School is an 11-16 co-educational and non-selective secondary school; in a highly selective local authority. We are currently looking to employ a Head of ICT & Business Studies, to join our successful department. Pensby High School has seen a rapid improvement in outcomes for its students. We are committed to placing the development of teachers and therefore students' learning at the forefront of what we do. As a result, we are seeing a growth in the number of students across both key stage 3 and 4, with parents and students increasingly seeing the school as their first choice.
All students follow core ICT in KS3 and KS4, with vocational qualifications in Business and ICT proving very popular with students. The option for GCSEs is reviewed regularly with the Head of Department.
In addition, all staff have access to Benenden Health care, family friendly working policy and opportunities for personal development to support individuals in their role and career.
New appointments are supported by a tailored coaching programme and all staff contribute to a collegiate coaching programme. The successful candidates will be expected to:
Lead, manage and develop ICT and Business Studies
Teach at key stage 3 and 4 in subject area
Display and promote excellence in teaching and learning
Inspire Pupils
Have a commitment to raising achievement
