Digital tools and ICT systems are central to transforming how local authorities operate, enabling the delivery of essential services and the development of automation and smarter service design.

We are recruiting a Head of ICT at Ealing Council to take responsibility for ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and supporting digital transformation initiatives, working with key stakeholders to identify, develop and pursue best practice for the c.4,000 users of services across the council.

Aware of the latest technology trends and best practices, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in your leadership and mentorship of the ICT team. You will oversee the management and maintenance of ICT systems and infrastructure, ensure the security and integrity of data and systems, and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.

The successful candidate will have:

· Proven experience in a senior ICT leadership role.

· Strong knowledge of ICT systems, infrastructure, and best practices, including ITIL.

· Excellent leadership and team management skills.

· Ability to think strategically and deliver digital transformation.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
