Head of HR Advice and Consultancy
Grade SMRB : Salary £67,194 - £82,809 pa
This is a great opportunity to join a talented, committed and supportive HR/OD function, to demonstrate your leadership skills, and to lead on all aspects of HR casework across a large and complex organisation. We are looking for someone who can:

shape and develop a team of HR professionals

ensure there a consistent, high quality and responsive service to a wide range of internal customers

through the development of our resolution hub, contribute positively to culture change and the Council's overall improvement journey

through sustained HR focus and appropriate interventions, make a significant contribution to the reduction of sickness absence levels across the Council
-
make a wider strategic contribution as a member of the HR/OD leadership team
As our Head of HR Advice & Consultancy, you will lead a trusted, responsive and expert HR service that puts people at the heart of decision-making. You’ll guide managers with confident, high‑quality advice; embed consistent and compassionate people practices; and create the conditions for effective leadership across the organisation. Your work will enable colleagues to perform at their best, strengthen the employee experience, and drive the “One Newham” culture that we’re proud of.
