The postholder will be the lead senior officer for all matters relating to facilities management, reactive and planned property maintenance and health, safety and compliance within the property and strategic asset management function of the Council. The post holder will lead on all service requirements and ensure any strategic, operational, and statutory requirements are met.
The key responsibilities include:
- Lead the planning and execution of the councils planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Act as the primary lead and contract manager for contracts associated with the delivery of statutory compliance, along with planned and reactive maintenance.
- Work to procure, and implement a Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system that will allow the department to effectively manage its assets, and provide reporting from this system to the Executive Leadership Team in relation to Statutory Compliance.
- Provision of a professional property service, providing assurance and risk management to senior leaders in relation to property related Health and Safety and Statutory Compliance.
- Take a lead and be responsible for developing and implementing the service plan and drive continuous improvement initiatives through leading and contributing to cross Council projects, collaborative working with partners and supporting Directorate management teams.

Salary range
- £72,859 - £79,930 per year
