Lead the voice and reputation of Dacorum Borough Council;

Are you an inspiring communications leader ready to shape how our council connects with residents, partners, and staff? We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Communications and Engagement to drive our ambitious communications, consultation, and events agenda.

You will lead a talented team, manage our public affairs and reputation, and deliver innovative campaigns that support our Hemel Place Strategy and Hemel Garden Communities programme. Your work will help deliver 11,000 new homes and 10,000 jobs, while ensuring our brand and messages reach every corner of the borough.

You will:

• Develop and implement our communications and engagement strategy across digital, media, and events
• Champion positive place branding and support inward investment
• Lead crisis communications and media relations
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the media
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in all we do

• Proven experience in communications, media, and reputation management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
