We are recruiting five Group Exercise Instructors at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours/ Contract Type: Relief/Casual
Location: Primary work base will be agreed by line manager at appointment. The potential work base for every employee is in any of the facilities managed by Leisure Services within Caerphilly County Borough Council.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £16.35 per hour and offer access to training and development opportunities.

To creatively plan, organise and deliver safe, inclusive, engaging and professionally structured group exercise classes that maximise participation in physical activity and promote health and wellbeing across the community. The instructor will supervise, motivate and support customers, ensuring consistently high standards of customer care while delivering a high-quality leisure experience that encourages people to become more active, more often.

The role involves delivering sessions to a wide range of participants, adapting activities to suit varying fitness levels and abilities, and maintaining a safe environment through effective planning and supervision. The successful candidate will contribute to service development through innovation, support programme delivery, assist with marketing and promotion, and help drive participation and income generation, while representing the service in a professional manner at all times.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • REPs Level 3.
  • ETM plus additional modules; Circuits, Boxercise, Step, Spin, Personal Training, Zumba or equivalents.
  • Understand the business demands of a busy Leisure Centre and where the classes fit into the programme.
