Brackenwood Infant School is seeking a skilled and committed KS1 teacher with experience of supporting children with SEND to join our developing SEND Resource Base provision.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a small, nurturing environment supporting pupils with complex needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering highly personalised teaching and learning that supports pupils' academic progress, communication, independence and emotional development.
The post would suit a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and who is confident adapting the curriculum to meet a wide range of needs within a structured and supportive environment.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
Plan and deliver highly adapted learning experiences for pupils with complex SEND needs.
Create a structured, calm and supportive learning environment where pupils can thrive.
Work closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants and external professionals to implement EHCP provision.
Support pupils to develop communication, independence, emotional regulation and social interaction alongside academic learning.
Work collaboratively with families to support pupils both in school and at home.
The Ideal Candidate Will
Be an excellent classroom practitioner with experience supporting children with SEND.
Have experience of adapting teaching and curriculum provision to meet a wide range of needs.
Have a secure understanding of the Early Years Framework and KS1 National Curriculum.
Be confident working with pupils with EHCPs and contributing to review processes.
Be calm, patient and resilient, with high expectations for all pupils.
Be able to work effectively as part of a team alongside teaching assistants and external professionals.
Demonstrate a commitment to our school values of Kindness, Effort and Resilience.

Candidates should be prepared to teach a lesson and complete an unseen task followed by an interview.
