    Financial Business Intelligence Officer (Maternity Cover)

    London Borough of Havering

    Contract: 12 month fixed term contract, maternity cover
    Pay: Grade 5 £35,520 to £38,739 per annum subject to final confirmation.

    The London Borough of Havering is looking to recruit a Financial Business Intelligence Officer to provide maternity cover. You will be working in a team that plays an essential role in supporting Havering’s People Services department, ensuring payments for all Social Care and Public Health services are made in a timely manner to providers to ensure the most vulnerable continue to be looked after.

    If successful in your application for the role of Financial Business Intelligence Officer, London Borough of Havering, you will:

    • Ensuring accurate and timely payments are made to providers of Public Health services in accordance with the contracts.
    • Build strong relationships with the commissioners and external providers of the services to ensure payments and invoicing of services is accurate, timely and in accordance with the terms of the contracts.
    • Accurately record and monitor cost and spend, and provide relevant information to support the service to manage their contracts and budgets.
    • Be passionate about customer service with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach, so that queries and issues can be resolved to a satisfactory outcome.
    • Have great attention to detail and be able to utilise your numerical and problem solving skills to analyse data in response to payment discrepancies and resolve complex finance queries.
    • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook to analyse information, and be comfortable with using other financial and third party systems to extract data and process payments.
