    Financial Assessment and Welfare Benefit Officer

    £38,934 - £40,755 per annum

    We are seeking to recruit 1 x Full Time permanent position. As part of your role you will be advising residents of benefit maximisation, as well as carrying out financial assessments to determine the level of contribution a resident is required to make towards the cost of their care service/s. You will be expected to manage your own workload along with enquiries to the team from various streams.

    The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

    • Ability to work well with others including residents, internal and external stakeholders
    • Have good communications skills
    • Have a high level of numeracy and literacy
    • Experience or understanding of Social Care

    • A knowledge of charging for Adult Social Care Services is desirable along with the legislation governing social care

    • A knowledge of State benefits and incomes
    • Be able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast pace team

    • Ability to handle and manage sensitive information

    • Understanding of and ability to comply with GDPR and DPA

    • Ability to work independently as well as a team and keep abreast of changes to Local Policy and Government Legislation

    Salary range

    • £38,934 - £40,755 per year
