Finance Business Partner

About the role:

Wirral Borough Council is seeking a Finance Business Partner to deliver innovative, solution-focused financial management that drives value for money and supports long-term sustainability supporting Adults and Children's Services.

Key duties of the role will include:

  • Partner with Adults and Children's directorates to provide expert financial advice
  • Develop financial strategies aligned with service objectives
  • Produce accurate reports, forecasts, and budgets
  • Analyse performance and identify risks and opportunities
  • Support business cases and financial modelling for key initiatives ¿Influence decision-making and drive financial best practices

About the Candidate:

You will hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification/part qualification (e.g. CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent along with will have a strong understanding of financial management principles and practices and be able to articulate and build effective relations at different operational levels.
