FINANCE ASSISTANT

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Financial Services Team at Wyre Council in a newly created Finance Assistant role.
As a Finance Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of efficient financial services across the Council. Working as part of a busy and supportive team, you will provide administrative and financial processing support to colleagues within Financial Services and across the wider organisation.
Your responsibilities will include processing invoices and payments, responding to telephone and email enquiries, maintaining accurate financial records, and undertaking general data entry and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be organised, able to work to deadlines, and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Previous experience of working in a busy office environment is desirable, while experience of using financial or payment systems would be advantageous. You will also have strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
