    Full Time Fixed Term Contract - Initially until 31st August 2028, 36 hours a week minimum.

    Term Time only plus 2 weeks (40 weeks)

    (with the exception of the last week of August that will be required to be worked)

    Finance Assistant - Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust
    Responsible To Accountant

    The Directors of Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust are looking for a Finance Assistant who will support the Finance Department within the Central Team function in the Trust and be responsible for managing the day to day finance duties for our 7 Primary schools.

    We currently have 9 schools within our trust, including 2 secondary and 7 primary schools across three local authority areas, including Wirral, Halton and Cheshire.     Key responsibilities:
    Daily processing of financial transactions and performance of financial processing for the Trusts, 7 primary schools carrying out the following tasks:
    Purchase invoice processing
    Sales invoice processing and associated debt chasing
    Manage school staff PO access and set-up
    Monthly reconciliation and posting of all school credit card statements, including ensuring all documentation is held and compliant
    Monthly payment run processing
    Maintain contract register
    Supplier statement reconciliations
    Review the school debtors and creditors ledger and investigate and clear anomalies e.g. debtors on a creditor account
    Review outstanding purchase orders and clear down old items that are no longer required
    Deal with internal and external queries received into the finance email
    Maintaining and updating supplier details in line with agreed procedures
    Post the monthly payroll for all primary schools
    Assist with Budget monitoring including staff costs down to individual level as necessary
    Deal with any staff queries as necessary
    Assist with the implementation of appropriate audit recommendations as required
    Provide financial support to school staff as necessary
    Post the school bank statement
