    What is the job role?

    We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Finance and HR Administrator to join our team at Tiverton School. This is a key role supporting the effective running of the school’s finance, HR and administrative systems, working closely with the School Business Manager and wider leadership team.

    Working 35 hours per week (term time only), you will play a vital part in ensuring financial processes, staff records and administrative systems are accurate, compliant and efficient.

    Who are we looking for?

    We are looking for a detail-focused and dependable individual with strong administrative and financial skills, who can manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment.

    You will:

    • Have experience working in an administrative or finance role, including processing financial transactions
    • Possess strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
    • Be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and databases
    • Be able to manage your workload effectively and meet deadlines
    • Communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders, including staff, parents and external organisations
    • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion

    We would particularly welcome candidates who:

    • Have experience working in a school or education setting
    • Have knowledge of financial systems (e.g. FMS) or HR processes
    • Have experience supporting recruitment, absence monitoring or maintaining compliance records

    In addition, you will demonstrate:

    • A professional, reliable and approachable manner
    • The ability to work calmly under pressure
    • Flexibility and a willingness to support the wider team
    • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

    You should have a good standard of education, including GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), along with relevant administrative, finance or business experience or qualifications
