The Role:

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity to join our team as an Events Manager for a fixed term contract during the festive season. We are dedicated to creating memorable winter experiences for our community, and we need a talented manager to ensure our operations run smoothly throughout the holiday season.

The site comprises an ice rinks used for skating and curling, food stalls, a café and other attractions. There are regular events on site including music nights and community. It is open from 9:30 to 21:30 daily (closed Christmas Day). The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall running of the event on a day to day basis in conjunction with the Operations Manager, ensuring a safe and secure environment for both colleagues and guests.

Working hours vary and you must be available from 24th November 2025 - 16 January 2026.

About you:

You will be a natural leader, highly motivated with an outstanding passion for delivering first class customer service.

You will be enthusiastic, practical, able to work in a fast-past environment and have at least 3 years' work experience within the leisure industry at management level.

You will have knowledge and experience of building an event site and an understanding of the health and safety regulations and risk assessments required

You will have the flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Knowledge of ice rink equipment and maintenance is desirable but not essential
