
Family Time Administrator
About Us
The Family Time Service arrange and deliver supervised contact where Children's Social Care Services are required to supervise a child's contact with a parent or family members with whom they are not resident. We aim to ensure that all contact sessions are safe, warm, and supportive experiences for children and young people. We work closely with social workers to coordinate and effectively deliver contact arrangements.
About The Role
Salary: £26,144 to £26,550 per annum (includes Crawley Weighting Allowance)
Contract Length: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time, 37 hours per week
Location: West Green Family Time hub, West Green Drive, Crawley, RH11 7EL
Interviews: Provisionally 9th and 10th July
This role is not a hybrid role, therefore, you will be expected to be in the office everyday as we are front line service.
As a Family Time Administrator, you will provide information, support, guidance and a front-line service delivery to families, children, and young people. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emotional resilience when responding to complex challenges families can face. Providing reliable, efficient, and effective administration support to the service you will be required to respond to client queries, maintaining records and producing standard correspondence. Proficient IT skills, particularly with the use of Excel spreadsheets, will support our services day-to-day activities.
This role is key to ensuring service continuity and availability as well as contributing to the smooth running of services and the effective introduction of new services or processes. You will also assist in maintaining effective partnerships with a range of professionals including social workers, foster carers, and parents/carers.
Key Skills and Experience
The key skills and experience required to fulfil this role include:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to deliver a good customer experience for all stakeholders you will engage with. This could be the children and families you are working with through to Social Workers or external agencies such as schools and more.
- Proficient IT skills, particularly with Excel is essential, as well as being able to navigate the internet and experience of databases.
- Experience of working with challenging families, showing a clear understanding of the challenges and barriers they may face when engaging with you.
- Team working and the ability to complete shared tasks to deliver a good service to others.
- Good analytical and judgement skills are important to be able to assist with customer queries.
- Experience of administration skills, working under pressure and to time constraints.
