
Family Group Conference Co-ordinator
Maternity Cover 12 Months – Full Time
Location: Lynton House
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Family Group Conference (FGC) Co-ordinator in the Family Resource Service. You will be working with families who are involved with Family Help Services including statutory services. You will need to have knowledge and experience of working with families who have experienced trauma which could stem from multiple areas including domestic abuse, substance use, abuse (physical, emotional and sexual) and mental health. You will need to have a good understanding of other variable factors that impact upon families including the impact of poverty and discrimination and demonstrate an ability to be creative in supporting families with drawing upon their own strengths, balanced with support from a wide range of other agencies.
As an FGC Co-ordinator you will be motivated to promote the voice of the child/young person and will be able to demonstrate use of best practice principles to enable families to engage in order to provide high quality meetings and plans, which support the family with producing a safe and sustainable solution to safeguarding the child/young person. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to be creative and to keep children and their families at the heart of the meeting and be able to work positively and effectively with other agencies supporting the families referred to the service.

Salary range
- £35,520 - £36,585 per year
