Salary £32,535 – £33,987 per annum
Location: Newham Dockside
This is not a hybrid role – it requires the successful candidate to be present in person in the workplace Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.

Join our vibrant Building Services Team at Newham Dockside as a Facilities Officer Apprentice. In this exciting, fast-paced role, you’ll be the first point of contact for staff, visitors, residents, and contractors — helping to keep our operations running smoothly while gaining valuable hands-on experience and fully supported to gain a recognised qualification.

About the Role:
As the first point of contact for anyone entering the building, your welcoming presence will set the tone for visitors, colleagues, contractors, and residents alike. You’ll ensure the building is safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently, while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist all visitors with professionalism and a friendly approach
- Carry out regular building inspections and act as a fire warden
- Provide essential admin support and learn how to use bespoke IT systems
- Respond to queries and help resolve issues efficiently
- Support internal colleagues and external building tenants
- Help maintain the safety, security, and smooth running of the building
- Successfully complete your apprenticeship qualification
- Learn how to manage the car park and the administrative processes behind this
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Willing to learn and take responsibility for their development
- A great communicator with a positive, can-do attitude
- Resilient, adaptable, and proactive in their approach
- Comfortable using IT and open to learning new systems
- A team player who enjoys helping others and takes pride in their work
- Able to handle routine and sensitive issues with professionalism
Experience in or knowledge of facilities, admin or customer service is a plus — but not essential. If you're passionate about supporting people and keen to build a career in a fast-paced environment, we’ll provide all the training you need.
