Facilities Officer

Full-time and part-time roles available.

About the role:

This is a workplace based, key operational role and you will be an active part of a multi-disciplinary team across several sites,

You will support both staff & public service-delivery, ensuring operational excellence by ensuring that out buildings are fit for purpose whilst being responsible for maintaining high standards of compliance, cleanliness, customer service, and operational efficiency.

About the candidate:

We’re looking for a motivated and flexible individual to help us ensure our buildings are safe, efficient, and welcoming for staff, residents, and service users.

In this role, you’ll work across multiple locations within the Borough, so a full UK driving licence is essential. You may also be required to drive a Council vehicle while on duty. Training in first aid and other relevant disciplines will be provided if you’re not already qualified.

As part of our facilities management team, you’ll bring:

  • Experience working effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
  • The ability to manage deadlines, meet performance indicators, and respond confidently to issues as they arise
  • A strong track record of working with a range of internal and external partners
  • Knowledge and practical experience across a variety of Facilities Management duties — including Health & Safety, legislative requirements, and completing documentation electronically and on paper
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to follow Council procedures and best practice

This role may entail early morning, early evening and weekend shift work, so a flexible approach to work is required.
