    Job introduction

Westdene Primary School & Nursery are seeking to appoint an organised and proactive individual to take a key role in the admin and coordination of our much-loved After School and Breakfast Clubs, as well as our wider enrichment opportunities.

Our ideal hours would be Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 6:15pm, plus 3.75 flexible admin hours per week. However, we appreciate that not all applicants may be able to commit to this exact pattern. We are willing to discuss some flexibility around the after school hours at interview for the right candidate.

Paid weeks per year: 48.51 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

Fixed term: Until 31 August 2026

Start date: October 2025 or on completion of HR process

    About the role

Excellent administrative and IT skills are essential, as you will use our online systems to set up sessions, manage attendance, record incidents, and coordinate staff rotas. The role also includes liaising with parents and carers to ensure families feel welcome and well informed.

You will provide administrative support for the school’s enrichment programme by coordinating activities, producing the termly clubs brochure, and overseeing pupil attendance at sports fixtures, music events, and performances. You will also act as the first point of contact for external clubs and work with the office team to ensure registers are accurate.

Experience of working with children or in childcare would be an advantage but is not essential, as strong administrative skills are the priority. Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to train) is required.
