At Camden, we don’t just deliver services — we work alongside communities to challenge injustice and drive real social change. Our shared vision, We Make Camden, aims to create a fairer, more inclusive borough where everyone has a voice and where power is shared.
We’re seeking an inspiring Executive Director for Homes and Communities to lead one of the country’s most ambitious housing portfolios and drive meaningful cultural transformation. This newly created senior leadership role reflects our commitment to putting communities, relationships and lived experience at the heart of everything we do.
Housing in Camden is more than bricks and mortar - it’s about connection, identity and safety. Yet, we face urgent challenges: rising housing demand, increasing homelessness, ageing stock and a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. You will lead Camden’s strategic response, shaping how we deliver housing services and support residents through integrated welfare, debt, homelessness prevention and financial resilience initiatives.
You’ll provide leadership for landlord services managing over 30,000 homes, ensure compliance with new regulatory standards and drive long-term investment in housing stock, public spaces, and infrastructure with sustainability, equity and accountability at the core.
We want a leader with proven success in delivering change at scale within complex systems who is deeply committed to people, purpose and cultural transformation. You’ll bring expertise in housing and property, alongside empathy, collaboration, and authenticity. You’ll lead with courage, clarity, and creativity — building trust and enabling lasting, inclusive
