    We’re looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to provide high‑level, proactive support to our Chief Executive. If you’re highly organised, politically aware, and confident working in a fast‑paced, high‑profile environment, this is your chance to play a vital role at the centre of our organisation.

    About the role

    You’ll manage a complex diary and inbox, prepare high‑quality briefings, coordinate leadership meetings, and act as a professional ambassador for the Chief Executive. You’ll work closely with senior officers, Executive Members, MPs and partners, ensuring smooth communication, strong governance and seamless operations across the leadership team.

    You’ll also support key events, travel, presentations, governance requirements and—when needed—emergency response activity.

    About you

    We’re looking for someone with:

    • Significant EA/PA experience supporting senior leaders in a complex organisation
    • Exceptional organisation, judgement and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues discreetly
    • Strong minute‑taking, briefing and documentation skills
    • Confidence building relationships at senior and political levels
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems
    • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment

    Knowledge of local government governance cycles is an advantage.

    A Basic check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
