Job Description

Overview

The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Events Coordinator to join the team at Headstone Manor & Museum, a unique heritage site comprising four historic listed buildings, including the highly regarded Great Barn wedding and function venue. The successful candidate will play a key role within a small, dedicated team, acting as the face of the venue to clients and visitors while delivering an exceptional standard of customer care across a diverse programme of corporate events, private functions and weddings.

With excellent communication skills and a passion for working with people, the post holder will serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing enquiries, conducting site viewings and guiding customers through every stage of their journey, from initial enquiry through to planning, coordination and successful delivery of their event. The role requires the ability to quickly build knowledge of processes, manage a varied and sometimes demanding workload, and respond effectively to changing priorities. Flexibility is essential, as the role involves regular evening, weekend and bank holiday working to support the operational needs of the venue.


About You

To be successful in this role you would need to have the below skills & experience:

  • Knowledge of hospitality best practice and venue based event coordination
  • Sales experience within a hospitality environment with a proven track record in delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience of event coordination / delivery
  • Experience of and/or ability to meet the needs of diverse communities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent planning, organisational and practical problem solving skills
  • Able to work on own initiative and prioritise work loads
  • The ability to use standard office software and email with accuracy and attention to detail in written and numeric work
  • The ability to lift and move loads safely
  • Flexible approach to duties and willingness to work anti-social hours.
