About the Role

Camberley Theatre is seeking an Events Coordinator to support the Venue and Events Manager with the delivery of the theatre’s programme of professional and amateur events, shows, concerts, hospitality offer and other activities including film and outdoor events. The successful applicant will work with the venue team to ensure seamless delivery of events in line with customer requirements, and act as the first point of contact for all commercial, community and internal hires of the theatre’s facilities and conference spaces, including (but not limited to) shows, conferences, classes and private parties. This is a key role as hire revenues account for a significant portion of annual income for the theatre and it is imperative that relationships with regular hirers and local groups are maintained to a high standard. The post-holder will be responsible for driving hire revenues and identifying opportunities for new types of hires and events while ensuring Camberley Theatre remains competitive.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a polite manner with a calm and professional attitude, an interest in the arts and events and have excellent communication skills. Previous knowledge of Spektrix ticketing system and Artifax booking system would be advantageous but is not essential. You will have a strong understanding of hirer requirements, specifically within a theatre setting and an ability to create and maintain effective relationships, engendering trust through clear and open communication. You will have the ability to ensure services and events are quality driven and be responsive to customer needs and expectations. It is important that you can maintain good standards and work efficiently, using your own initiative to solve problems where necessary. You should have the ability to be creative and innovative in all aspects of service delivery and operational performance.
