Estates and Environmental Improvement Officer

Salary range: Grade 9 £42,060 - £43,680 p.a. plus fantastic benefits
Contract: Permanent x2
Hours of work: 36 hours per week
Location: Croydon

Be at the heart of driving estate improvements that matter to residents.

We are seeking two Improvement Officers to monitor and improve estate and environmental services. You’ll ensure contractors deliver value for money, work with residents to address concerns, and make sure our estates are safe, clean, and welcoming.

About the role

  • Monitor and inspect estate services and environmental works ensuring that works are delivered to a high standard and in line with works specified.
  • Liaise with contractors, inspect works, raise and address quality issues.
  • Manage complaints and track performance data.
  • Recommend and implement improvements.

About you

  • Knowledge of construction and design and construction related defects and how to avoid them.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant and current, codes of practice, building regulations, health and safety legislation, standards to ensure these are delivered and effectively incorporated within all operations
  • Ability to develop and implement measures for identifying and responding to customer demands and expectations.
  • Experience of managing external contractors and monitoring monthly performance
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach.
