The Role:

Worcestershire County Council are recruiting for an Estates Surveyor in a permanent role to join a hardworking and dedicated Estates Team in Corporate Landlord Services, part of the Councils Economy and Infrastructure Directorate.

You will work closely with Directorates and Service Managers to develop a clear understanding of the service needs and how the use of property can support this. You will undertake estate management services for a portfolio of assigned Council owned and tenanted property, in order to manage leasehold obligations, interpretation of lease terms, rent review, lease renewal negotiations, management of service charges, repairs, maintenance, acquisitions, disposals and any other matters as may be required in the day to day management of the estate.

You should have expert knowledge of statutory requirements, RICS Standards, Codes of Practice and current legislation relating to property management.

This is a new role within the Council and is an opportunity to use your professional expertise and knowledge to develop a new future for the estate.

Whilst previous Local Authority experience isn’t required you will need to be a qualified Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and have a successful track record in a similar role.
