Environment Inspection Officer
£28,598 - £31,022 per annum
37 hours per week – 7:30am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday
As Environment Inspection Officer you will help residents to live in a clean, safe, accessible environment by carrying out Health and Safety inspections across all playgrounds, parks, cemeteries, allotments, and green spaces and making recommendations to the Green Space Managers and Chargehands for repairs. You will ensure all park buildings are complaint with the Health and Safety policy around fire inspection and procedure testing and work to develop, implement and embed a new quality standard for cleanliness and green spaces in the District and will support Green Space Managers to work with operational teams to understand and apply standards in their daily activities.
You must have knowledge of countryside management, environmental legislation and SSSI guidance and Knowledge of Waste and Environmental Services with experience in carrying out Health and Safety audits and inspections experience of reviewing park management plans.
