About the role

As an Enforcement and Monitoring Officer (Building Safety Levy), you’ll play an important role in shaping and supporting sustainable development across the area. Working within our Planning Enforcement and Monitoring team, you’ll help ensure that development is delivered in line with approved plans, policies and regulations, while maintaining a high-quality, customer-focused service. This is an opportunity to work on a varied caseload, contribute to key development priorities and support the delivery of infrastructure that helps our communities thrive.

You’re a proactive and organised individual with an interest in planning, building, development and regulatory work. You’re confident analysing information, interpreting plans or legislation and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. With strong communication skills, you can engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from developers and agents to members of the public, always delivering a clear and customer-focused approach. You’re comfortable managing your own workload, prioritising tasks and working both independently and as part of a team. Most importantly, you bring a positive, solutions-focused mindset and share our ambition to deliver high-quality services that support thriving communities, reflecting our THRIVE values in everything you do.
