As part of this dynamic team, you will play a key role in shaping our future ways of working. Your experience, knowledge and ability to influence will help drive our continued success.
The role requires you to:

- lead on a wide range of employee relations casework
- ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
- build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
You should be:
- CIPD qualified level 5 (or equivalent), with a strong grasp of UK employment law
- experienced in delivering high-quality HR services in a fast-paced environment
- a strategic thinker with excellent organisational skills
- a confident communicator with a collaborative style and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
This role offers an opportunity to make a real impact while supporting a team that are driving meaningful change. If you are able to hit the ground running and help shape the future of HR at the council, we look forward to receiving your application.
Crawley is a great place to work, with a thriving business district and excellent transport connections including nearby Gatwick Airport. We are based in our modern Town Hall which opened in 2023 and is located a short walk from the town centre and railway station.
We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible, as we may close this advert before the stated closing date if enough applications are received.
Additional information
This role is a fixed term contract for six months
This is a hybrid role requiring an onsite presence of up to three days per week. Your contractual base will be the Town Hall; however, you will need to travel between various sites to meet business needs. This may include occasional attendance at our Metcalf Way Depot, Tilgate Park, and other smaller satellite locations.

We offer a generous employee benefits package, with a range of discounts, benefits and wellbeing incentives to suit everyone.
