Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.

We are seeking two experienced Executive Assistants to provide exceptional executive, governance and operational support to our Executive Leadership Team. These roles sit at the centre of the Chief Executive’s Department and ensure the smooth, effective running of senior leadership activity across the organisation. You will manage complex diaries and correspondence, coordinate briefings and meetings, oversee key business processes, and support clear and timely decision‑making. Working closely with senior officers, Members and external stakeholders, you will anticipate priorities, resolve issues proactively, and contribute to delivering high‑quality outcomes in a fast‑paced, politically sensitive environment.

The ideal candidates will bring strong experience supporting senior leaders, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the confidence to navigate competing demands. You will work with discretion, build positive relationships at all levels, and maintain a calm and solutions‑focused approach. With a commitment to collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement, you will help embed modern, efficient working practices and play an important role in enabling the Executive Leadership Team to deliver its strategic priorities. Flexibility to adapt at pace and support occasional out‑of‑hours commitments will be essential.

    Interview Date: 13th February 2026.

To apply for this post please complete the online application form and attach your CV and a Covering Letter addressing how you meet the criteria for the role as stated in the person specification.

All short-listed applicants will need to demonstrate proof of right to work in the UK.

We are committed to employment practices that promote diversity and inclusion in employment and welcome applications from qualified applicants regardless of age, disability, gender identity, sex, marriage and civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity status, colour, race, religion, or belief.
