We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Private Sector Housing Grant Support Officer to join our esteemed Strategic Housing Service Team at Winchester City Council.

The role presents a unique and exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and has a strong sense of empathy with a commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and safely in their homes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing advice and guidance to residents applying for Disabled Facilities Grants.
  • Supporting the Private Sector Housing Team in the delivery of an excellent service to residents.
  • Supporting residents through the DFG application process.
  • Promoting awareness of the DFG scheme within the community.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple cases.
  • Knowledge of the delivery of Disabled Facilities Grants and the relevant legislation.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
