
Dining Room Assistant (Lunchtime Supervisor) - Edgewick Community Primary School
We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic, reliable and well-motivated individuals for the position of Lunchtime Supervisor.
The successful candidates will supervise and engage with children of all ages outdoors, supervise children in classes during bad weather and support children eating their lunch.
You will need to;-
- Supervise and engage with pupils in the playground and dinner hall
- Support pupils with additional / special needs as a 1:1 as directed.
- Administer basic first aid and treatment of minor injuries including completing accident forms online.
- Be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Supervise children in classes during bad weather
- Support children eating their lunch in the dining hall
- Provide a happy and safe environment for all our children
The role will be for 7.9 hours per week, 1.58 hours per day working 11.45am - 1.20pm

- Be able to work professionally with all pupils and staff members to ensure a smooth and positive environment.
- Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Be able to work efficiently as part of a team.
- Have an understanding of health and safety and personal hygiene.
- Be enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking
- Be motivated and committed to supporting young people in their school environment
Start: As soon as possible, one post is temporary to Aug 2026 and one post is permanent.

Salary range
- £4,407 - £24,413 per year
