Are you interested in a career in digital marketing and communications? Do you have creative flair and an innovative approach?
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Assistant to join our fantastic Strategic Communications and Marketing Team. Supported by the Strategic Communications and Marketing Manager for Culture and Visitor Economy, you’ll be marketing our award-winning Barnsley Museums service.
Barnsley Museums celebrates the rich heritage of Barnsley. Comprising five unique sites - Cannon Hall, Worsbrough Mill, Elsecar Heritage Centre, Experience Barnsley Museum with Barnsley Archives, and the Cooper Gallery – there is a diverse range of experiences for visitors of all ages. Each site provides a window into the past, offering insights into Barnsley’s industrial heritage, artistic legacy, and traditions.
As a Digital Marketing Assistant, you’ll help deliver marketing plans, create content for exhibitions, events, our visitor attractions and maintain and update our digital channels including websites, newsletters, and social media. You’ll be creating digital marketing that drives visitor numbers, ticket bookings, and media coverage.
We’re looking for a proactive, creative, positive colleague who wants to build their skills and grow their career. Many of our previous Digital Marketing Assistants have gone on to Officer and Manager level jobs both within and outside of our organisation, so there’s plenty of room to grow!
You will work with both the Strategic Communications and Marketing team, as well as the Barnsley Museums team, building great working relationships.
Working with both teams, you will help produce innovative and creative digital campaigns that will make a difference to how visitors and residents engage with our museums.
