    Coventry City Council’s Digital Services team is responsible for delivering key enabling and transformational services for the wider organisation, city and external partners. We support the day to day operation of the Council whilst also innovating and enabling the organisational transformation that is required.

    Our Technology teams ensure that our core technology offering meets the needs of the organisation whilst planning and innovating our technology road map to keep the Council and wider city fit for the future.

    Our Digital Delivery teams comprise customer and change functions that ensure we continually understand the overall organisational and wider City’s demands for digital, change and innovation and manage this delivery to our end users.

    What is the job role?


    Working as part of the Digital Delivery Team, the post holder will undertake the management and maintenance of a comprehensive suite of test processes, techniques and tools to measure and improve the quality of the hardware, software and application systems being deployed by Coventry City Council.

    The role also supports the management of larger end-to-end ICT projects and leads on smaller end-to-end projects in line with the organisation’s vision for service delivery, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of everything it does, whilst working towards the achievement of performance objectives.

    This is a hybrid working role with a minimum of 2 days per week working in our Coventry offices.


    Who are we looking for?


    We are looking for candidates with experience in planning and executing the whole system testing lifecycle, for either hardware, software or applications, using industry standard processes, methods, tools and techniques.

    You will have a good working knowledge of ICT project implementation methods and techniques, and the ability to support project managers in all aspects of the wider planning and delivery of large digital and ICT projects. This will include the production of project, technical and user documentation.

    You will be able to build and maintain critical working relationships, communicate with and co-ordinate a wide range of stakeholders at all levels across the Council and our partners. You will demonstrate customer awareness and customer care throughout.

    You will be a good organiser, able to prioritise your own workload, and demonstrate good business acumen throughout your work.
