Job Details:

The Active Lifestyles team are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual to join our service and support the continued development of Weigh Forward, Sefton’s Tier 2 weight management programme.

The Development Officer will play a key role in the delivery, and development of the programme, ensuring it aligns with the priorities of Sefton Council and contributes to improved health and wellbeing outcomes for local residents.

Working as part of a wider team, the postholder will support individuals to make sustainable lifestyle changes through a combination of group-based education, physical activity support, and behaviour‑change interventions.

The role involves working across a range of settings and collaborating with a broad range of partners, including healthcare professionals, community organisations, and residents referred to the programme. Strong communication and well‑developed interpersonal skills are essential for this role to effectively build relationships and support delivery.
