Working as part of a team, you will need to deliver excellent customer service to library users, contribute to better, increased engagement initiatives, building involvement with residents and community groups in line with library service priorities.

The post holder will work as part of the development team, to support the coordination of an engagement programme of events and activities that help improve the quality of life for residents and service users as well as develop and maintain partnership working with a range of internal and external partners, funders, national agencies, governing bodies and others in the library and learning sector.

Supporting the development of a cultural programme in key libraries including developing content/ events and collaborating with the colleagues in the wider Culture and Libraries team is key. Also, responsibility for helping to promote the wider cultural offer of our libraries by posting listings and developing stories on our social platforms like All Events | Events | Ealing libraries and What’s on – Ealing arts and culture .

You will need to foster engagement with cultural partners in the borough and be keen to develop new cultural contacts, partnerships, and look for funding to support our aspirations to improve the cultural reach of our service.

In addition to the duties above, this role requires you to work independently for significant periods

Hours on offer are 35 hours a week. You will be expected to work some evenings and weekends. Please ensure you are available to work within flexible hours before applying.
