Due to our Deputy Headteacher being successfully appointed as a Headteacher at another school, the governors and Headteacher at St Anne's Catholic Primary School seek to appoint an inspirational, ambitious and innovative Deputy Headteacher.

St Anne's is a successful, inclusive, one form entry school with children ranging from age two to eleven years old. At St. Anne's we value every member of our school community and we provide a therapeutic and nurturing learning environment where all our children can grow, learn and love in a safe and secure way. Christ is our role model and we use Him as our inspiration as we journey through the school.

All children are encouraged to go beyond what is possible; to think for themselves, to apply their acquired knowledge and skills, to improve and to transform, to be their best self. Our children persevere through every challenge and live lives full of faith, love, hope, and ambition.

We provide an exciting, experience-rich, high challenge curriculum which enables our pupils to learn and grow academically, personally and spiritually. Our pupils love school, love learning and aspire to achieve great things - 'being their best selves'

The governors at St Anne's Catholic Primary School seek a Deputy Headteacher who:

  • Is a practising Catholic, who is able to continue to maintain and further develop the Catholic life and mission of our school
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner who has a proven ability to enable all pupils to excel
  • Is knowledgeable in curriculum development and has an outstanding understanding of the requirements of the National Curriculum and a strong pedagogy across the age ranges
  • Has strong leadership skills and a proven track record of school improvement by leading staff through successful, sustained whole school initiatives
  • Is a supportive leader who has a proven record of motivating and inspiring staff to develop and improve their own practice
  • Has high expectations for all and is highly professional
  • Shows initiative and is self-motivated
  • Reads broadly and keeps up to date with educational developments, reforms, policies and initiatives

At St Anne's Catholic Primary School we can offer the successful candidate:

  • The experience of working in an outstanding Catholic Primary school, committed to shared Christian values
  • A warm, welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Kind, caring and engaging children
  • A dedicated and supportive Governing Body
  • Ongoing CPD opportunities

This post offers a superb opportunity to be part of a hardworking team, judged as 'good' in all areas in a recent Ofsted inspection (March 2025) and 'outstanding' by the Catholic Schools Inspectorate (2022).

The school is committed to the highest standards of safeguarding and promoting the safety and welfare of our children and expects the same level of commitment from all staff.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
