    We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Headteacher to join our dedicated team at Oakbridge School.

    As Deputy Head, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Headteacher and leading the school’s strategic and operational development. You will uphold and promote Kedleston’s mission, values, and vision, ensuring that our ethos is embedded in every aspect of school life.

    You will lead on key areas including:

    • Teaching and learning development
    • Quality assurance and performance management
    • Curriculum planning and timetabling
    • Data analysis and assessment
    • Staff development and induction
    • Safeguarding and wellbeing

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Inspire and lead a positive school culture aligned with Kedleston’s values
    • Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
    • Support staff development through effective appraisal and training
    • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student success
    • Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the highest standards of care and protection
    • Contribute to strategic planning and school improvement initiatives

    • A strong understanding of SEN and inclusive education
    • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

    Oakbridge School is an independent special day school in the Handsworth, Birmingham with a specially designed learning environment created to meet the needs of autistic children. We provide a calm, low arousal, safe, positive and nurturing place where young people can learn and grow.

    Oakbridge School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
