Make a Difference in Lancaster
Join us as Deputy Election Manager and play a vital role in safeguarding democracy in Lancaster. You’ll support the smooth running of elections, ensuring every eligible voter can participate confidently and fairly. Your work will uphold the integrity of the electoral register and promote community engagement in our democratic process.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll assist in planning and delivering elections, maintain accurate electoral registers, and lead the recruitment and training of election staff. Managing electoral systems and property databases, handling voter enquiries, and ensuring compliance with electoral law and GDPR will be key. You’ll also motivate a large team, especially during election periods, and help innovate ways to improve voter participation.

You’ll Fit Right In If…
You have a strong knowledge of electoral legislation and experience in election administration. You’re adaptable, impartial, and able to manage and inspire teams under pressure. Your excellent communication skills and understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion will help you thrive. A full driving licence is essential.
