About you…

We are looking for an ambitious, motivated individual with a passion to support adults for the role of Debt Liaison Officer. The role requires someone with empathy, communication skills, and the ability to build rapport, whilst having good knowledge of, or a background in finance.

About the team…

The role will be working independently but in close collaboration with multiple services across social care, finance and sometimes external organisations. You will be working closely with the Head of Client Affairs to develop and innovate the financial support services and debt recovery of the organisation.

In this role, you will visit residents in their homes, making it both community-facing and office-based, with the option to work from home when business needs allow. Frequency and working patterns can be discussed at interview.

Key responsibilities…

  • Provide support across multi-disciplinary teams in the People Directorate, offering advice and services for Adult Social Care related debt.
  • Provide practical in-person and online help to residents and colleagues in Bracknell.
  • Manage an active caseload of clients, supporting them with debts, payment plans and signposting for further financial support.
  • Help develop Bracknell’s financial support services and debt recovery processes.

Given the varied nature of the role, training and development may be offered to a candidate with compatible or desirable skills.

Salary range

  • £30,733 - £36,141 per year
