Cycle Instructor
Job Description
Salary: £13.34 - £14.45 per hour Grade: B Casual Contract Various Hours per WeekThe role is to provide cycle/scooter training to pupils and adults in Thurrock to Bikeability standards, to enable them to cycle safely and to promote cycling by improving skills/knowledge/attitudes/behaviour and hazard awareness.
You will have contact with members of the public/staff within schools and the wider Road Safety Team.
Experience with children is desired but not essential. You should have good communication skills with children of all ages and adults alike, be confident in riding a bike yourself and passionate about promoting sustainable travel.
The role requires you to have your own vehicle large enough to transport a fold up bicycle as you will be travelling to different schools on a daily basis.
Full training will be given. Equipment and uniform will be supplied.
A Disclosure and Barring Service Check at Enhanced level with Children's Barred List will be required for this post.
