The Amelia Scott is seeking a Creative Health Assistant to support the planning and delivery of inclusive, non‑clinical creative health and wellbeing programmes that help strengthen mental health and social connection within our community.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing creative health offer, working with museum collections, creative activities and community partners to support adults and families experiencing poor mental health and wellbeing.

About the Role

As a Creative Health Assistant, you will play a key role in planning, delivering and supporting creative health and wellbeing activities at The Amelia Scott. Working closely with the Creative Health Projects Officer, Learning Team and community partners, you will help deliver welcoming and accessible sessions that foster creativity, confidence, resilience and connection to improve participants mental health.

Your work will include supporting weekly creative health programmes, a monthly family support group, community wellbeing initiatives and awareness events, as well as contributing to monitoring, evaluation and engagement activity.

All sessions must be delivered in line with safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and support weekly creative health and wellbeing sessions using museum collections and exhibitions.
  • Deliver a monthly family support group for parents, carers and families supporting individuals with poor mental health.
  • Support the development and sustainability of existing wellbeing groups at The Amelia Scott.
  • Assist with identifying gaps in provision and contributing to new programme development.
