    Job title: Creative Engagement Officer – Major Sports Events

    Liverpool’s major sporting events programme continues to grow, with a world-class portfolio including the Netball World Cup, World Gymnastics Championships, Tour de France 2027, a groundbreaking multisport & culture festival, and EURO 2028.

    We are looking for a Creative Engagement Officer to bring fresh ideas, creative thinking and cultural expertise to how we embed social impact across communities during these landmark events.

    This is a chance to design and deliver imaginative, vibrant, people-led cultural engagement that amplifies the power of sport and the arts working together.

    What you’ll do

    • Co-design creative legacy programmes that celebrate Liverpool’s rich culture and diverse communities
    • Work directly with artists, cultural organisations and community partners to develop meaningful participation activity
    • Strengthen relationships with neighbourhood teams, cultural partners and voluntary organisations
    • Facilitate creative engagement sessions to ensure local voices shape programme delivery
    • Support evaluation, storytelling and impact reporting through innovative creative methods
    • Contribute to a culture of curiosity, shared learning and creative experimentation

    About you

    You’ll bring experience in cultural development, creative participation or community arts, alongside strong project management skills and a collaborative spirit. You understand inclusive practice and will confidently facilitate workshops, co‑design activity and community conversations.

    This role is fixed term for the purpose of Supporting with Major Sports Events and will end December 2028
