Caerphilly County Borough Council are looking to recruit a Countryside Access and Strategy Officer to assist the wider Countryside Access and Rights of Way Service in all elements of their role to carry out the Council’s statutory duties in asserting and protecting the rights of way network.
The post holder will also assist with the review, development and implementation of the Rights of Way Improvement Plan and Local Access Forum.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, in an Environmental or Access discipline.
- The ability to read Ordnance Survey maps at all scales and identify locations from 6 and 8 figure map references.
- Proven experience of working within the environmental field or complimentary discipline.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel to various locations within and beyond the County borough.
