Corporate Health & Safety Team
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a successful Health and Safety Team. Reporting to the Corporate and Schools Health and Safety Manager the role will require the planning and undertaking of audits, monitoring and inspection to ensure that statutory obligations are met; risks are managed; and good practice is promoted through service health and safety policies, strategies, principles of prevention and risk management.
As an adviser you will be resilient, highly motivated and well organised, and able to communicate and influence people at all levels.
You will require:
A NEBOSH National General Certificate or higher as a minimum qualification. A good knowledge of current and proposed health and safety legislation and codes of practice and the ability to interpret legislation practically, together with:
Knowledge and experience of:
- Pro-active health and safety management
- Advising on health & safety issues
- Premises safety or facilities management
- Occupational Health and/or Environmental Health issues
- Health and safety training
- Conducting and managing health & safety audits,
