    Corporate Finance Manager

    Full-time (37 Hours) – Permanent – Grade D2 – £54,013 – £56,301

    This includes a 12% Market Supplement

    North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced finance professional to join the Finance team. This post puts you at the heart of a dynamic and high performing department which is critical in the delivery of the Council's objectives.

    Job Requirements

    • Part CIMA/CCAB qualified or AAT with significant experience of public sector finance.
    • Experience in local government finance is desirable.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team as well as manage workloads within tight timescales.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead on the Council's statutory financial accounts, ensuring the service delivers against agreed year-end targets and maintains robust financial management practices.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for the Council's External Auditors, coordinating information, responses, and actions to support an efficient and compliant audit process.
    • Provide high-quality financial advice, technical expertise, and innovative financial solutions to enable timely and informed decision-making by officers and Members.
    • Line management of the transactional finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and income management.
    • Develop and improve the capability of direct reports in line with the 'Our People' Strategy.
    • Responsibility for all business as usual finance systems, including oversight of system performance, contract management, and continuous process improvement.

    You will be required to apply a high level of attention to detail and focus when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of financial services at a senior level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district.
