Hourly rate: £12.85 plus annual leave

We have some fantastic casual opportunities to join our dedicated and friendly team at The Core.

The Core is a thriving multi-purpose venue in the heart of Solihull, comprising of the Library, The Core Theatre, smaller multi-use Studio, Encore Café and Bar and Courtyard Gallery exhibition space.

This busy venue provides a range of services and hosts a varied mix of professional, community and amateur events including music, drama, comedy and dance. Open for business across the whole week, this is a thriving, successful venue with loyal and supportive customers.

Supporting our existing team, you will provide a high standard of service to our customers. You will be involved in a range of duties across the venue including the preparing for events, serving and preparation of food, using a till as well as general cleaning and housekeeping duties. Duties will include some physical activity including lifting, carrying and standing for long periods

Able to work effectively within a team environment, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of excellent customer service and be confident in engaging with a range of people.

You will need to have a flexible approach to working hours, as depending on the events at the venue, you will be required to work hours which include daytimes, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

We welcome applications from 16 and 17-year-olds and offer a limited number of opportunities for candidates in this age group. However, due to licensing regulations and the requirement for staff to work independently within the bar, the majority of our vacancies are only available to applicants aged 18 or over.
