Job Description
Job Title: Contact Supervisor
Salary: £29,253 - £32,736 per annum (pro rata to hours worked)
Grade: C
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 22.2 hours per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate contact supervisor to support children who are looked after by the local authority by providing a safe place for them to have family time with members of their birth family, including siblings, extended birth family members and significant others.
Contact supervisors work closely with families and colleagues, supporting with attachment building and assessments for Court proceedings, whilst preserving a child’s sense of identity.
Contact supervisors will be required to closely observe children and their families’ interactions, whilst providing feedback to support relationships. In addition, clear, concise recordings are required where the contact supervisor will analytically comment on the quality of relationships, appropriateness of verbal/non-verbal behaviour, having regard to racial, cultural, religious & ethnic background.
You can expect to join a dynamic and committed team, where interventions completed with children and families, enable them to develop their own solutions and make positive changes to their lives. The strong culture within the team been created by a permanent and stable workforce.
DBS Check: Enhanced Level with Children's Barred List is required for this post.
