    We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Consultant Social Worker/Educator role within Adult Social Care. This opportunity is available as a secondment or fixed-term position, designed to support the implementation of key service developments and practice improvements.

    This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the growth and development of our workforce through the Social Work Learning Academy. You will play a pivotal role in shaping learning and development across the service, while also enhancing your own professional practice and leadership skills.

    Working across multidisciplinary teams, you will help embed best practice and support our commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Our work is grounded in statutory responsibilities and driven by a shared ambition to empower individuals to live their best lives.

    This is a 2 year fixed term opportunity.

    Main Responsibilities

    As a Consultant Social Worker educator, you will

    • work closely with the teams and support practice and development across the service.
    • ensure that people have access to the right training and development.
    • support those people completing their apprenticeships and help those interested in working towards this.
    • assist in creating and developing the Adult Social work and Safeguarding education and development programmes as well as being part of implementing strategies to recruit, retain and develop the qualified social care workforce including growing talent from within Staffordshire County Council.
    The Ideal Candidate

    You will:

    • be a qualified social worker, and have significant experience in the field and experience of developing and delivering training.
    • possess or have a willingness to undertake Practice Educator, Best interest assessor or AMHP qualification.
    • be motivated by the purpose of your role – to help and support others.
    • be a real team player you’ll be able to flex to the needs of the team and as a senior social worker you’ll help mentor and coach other colleagues.
    • have a proven track record of a person centred and asset focused outlook and you’ll have high professional standards.
